Solid contact rivets consist entirely of contact material. With the help of our special machines, the rivets are produced from wire in a fully automatic process. The head is upset in one or more strokes. It is therefore very hard, while the rivet shank remains soft and can be easily processed later.
Here only the contact point of the rivet head is made of contact material. The rest of the contact head and the rivet shank are made of the carrier material (usually copper). Bimetal contacts, also known as plated contacts or doublé contacts, are manufactured by us up to a head diameter of 7 mm.
